TEHRAN, July 24(MNA) – Hassan Bahrami from the Tehran Province Job Center announced here on Monday that over the past twelve months 800,000 job opportunities have been created across the country.

He criticized the government for not having paved the way for the private sector development, adding that is caused by delaying the execution of Article 44 of the Constitution. He maintained that the reformation of the country’s economic structure - and thereby reducing the unemployment rate - can only be realized through opening the way for the private sector.

The government should supervise all the activities to expand privatization in the country so as to prevent any harm to the national economy, he observed.

Authorities should amend the labor laws in a bid to increase the job security of the laborers, he added.

The amendment also of the short-term contracts can work out a solution to some of the problems of the temporary laborers, Bahrami said.

He cited smuggling as another reason for the high rate of unemployment in the country and called on the government for putting a quick end to that. AA/HG END MNA
